Our man at the Sundance Film Festival, Chris Bumbray, recently reviewed THE KILLER INSIDE ME (check his review out HERE), and seemed to love it, giving it a high rating and a very positive review. But even in the review, he mentioned that it’s not a film for everyone, as some people will also probably hate it. Ah… my kind of movie!

According to Variety, THE KILLER INSIDE ME was picked up for distribution by IFC on Sunday, one of the last films to land distribution during this year’s Sundance Film Fest, for a rockin’ $1.5M. Not bad…

What makes it somewhat amazing that it got picked up at all is the controversy surrounding the film at Sundance itself. Star Jessica Alba left the premiere early and didn’t return for the screening, and director Michael Winterbottom was grilled afterward the screening as to why he felt the need to make a movie that promoted violence against women (read all about it HERE). But hey–controversy sells, so those bitching should pat themselves on the back for helping get this movie in theaters across the nation! Yay!

THE KILLER INSIDE ME is full of A-list stars, including Alba, Casey Affleck, Kate Hudson, Simon Baker, Bill Pullman, Ned Beatty, and Elias Koteas. Can’t wait to sink my teeth into this beast, and should have to wait very long, as it sounds as though IFC will be releasing the film in limited theaters by the end of the year.
