While John and Drew Dowdle flew onto the scene with their 2007 flick THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES, chances are the flick of theirs you’ve actually seen is the 2008 infected-zombie film QUARANTINE, remade from the exceptional Spanish film REC. Well, aside from putting the final touches on DEVIL, a script they directed from M. Night Shyamalan, it looks like the two bros are set to be very, very AFRAID.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, the Dowdles are attached to a flick called AFRAID, and adaptation of Jack Kilborn’s novel being inked by Larry Malkin and Chad Thumann. Said to fit the mold of an ALIEN or TERMINATOR franchise, AFRAID gets going “After a helicopter crash unleashes a rogue Red-Ops unit on Safe Haven, Wisconsin, its residents must band together to defend themselves against these brutal “trans-human” killers.”

Hell breaking loose in Safe Haven, Wisconsin? What else is new? (oh, I kid the Wisconsinites).

No telling when production on this sucker will commence, but when we have something, we’ll be sure to spike it to you.

DEVIL cutie Caroline Dhavernas!
