Cage and the return of the wigs: 1st official still from Season of the Witch

With Dominic Sena’s SEASON OF THE WITCH only 2 months away from release, Lionsgate has just issued an official first still from the flick (to be seen below!) And what a delight it is, a shot of Nic Cage looking flummoxed, fraught with faux-armor and a rancid wig of flowing blonde locks. In other words, a sure fire winner!

Etched by Bragi F. Schut (CHARLIE THISTLE, “Threshold”), SEASON OF THE WITCH centers on 14th-century knights who transport a suspected witch to a monastery, where monks deduce her powers could be the source of the Black Plague.

With that in mind, it seems Christopher’s Smith’s BLACK DEATH would make for an apt companion piece to SOTW, of course one is currently unrated, while the other is saddled with a PG-13 codification. Guess which is which!

Ron Perlman, Christopher Lee, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan, Claire Foy, Ulrich Thomsen, Stephen Graham, Nick Thomas-Webster, Matt Devere and Peter Linka all co-star in SEASON OF THE WITCH.

See the flick in theaters March 19th!
