There’s something about Adam Green’s upcoming horror jamboree FROZEN that has a fairly tight squeeze on my interest meter. I don’t know whether it’s because the concept is cool, the director is talented, or because the cast is top-notch, but I really want to chec this sucker out.
Especially after seeing the brand-spankin’-new clip below entitled “One More Run,” featuring the decisive moment when our trio of snowboarders decide to go down the mountain one more time by going up in the chairlift… which may end up being their final resting place.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. FROZEN, starring Emma Bell, Kevin Zegers, and Shawn Ashmore, goes a little something like this: A typical day on the slopes turns into a chilling nightmare for three snowboarders when they get stranded on the chairlift before their last run. As the ski patrol switches off the night lights, they realize with growing panic that they’ve been left behind dangling high off the ground with no way down. With the resort closed until the following weekend and frostbite and hypothermia already setting in, the trio is forced to take desperate measures to escape off the mountain before they freeze to death. Once they make their move, they discover with horror that they have much more to fear than just the frigid cold. As they combat unexpected obstacles, they start to question if their will to survive is strong enough to overcome the worst ways to die.
See what I’m talkin’ about? This puppy looks cool as f*ck, and quite timely in it’s release, as half the country seems to be covered in snow right about now. Enjoy the clip below, and get ready for FROZEN, premiering at the Sundance Film Fesitval on January 24th, and opening nationwide February 5th.
