Mel’s grief stricken: Check out 4 new TV spots for Edge of Darkness

For as luminous a star as Mel Gibson once was, one flick out this month that’s kept a relatively low profile is Martin Campbell’s revenge thriller EDGE OF DARKNESS. Well, we’re here to raise said profile, namely through a quartet of fresh TV spots for the flick (which, as always, you can enjoy below!)

Tackling his first real starring role since SIGNS in 2002, Gibson plays homicide detective Thomas Craven, who investigates the death of his activist daughter, he uncovers not only her secret life, but a corporate cover-up and government collusion that attracts an agent tasked with cleaning up the evidence.

I’m not sure how you feel, but despite all of Gibson’s recent public woes, I’d actually be kinda stoked if the dude could pull his shit together and made a strong comeback. Come on, a legit Mel flick…that would be…so, so…Sugar Tits (couldn’t resist!)

Danny Huston, Ray Winstone, Caterina Scorsone, Shawn Roberts, Peter Hermann, Denis O’Hare, Bojana Novakovic, Frank Grillo, Scott Winters, Wayne Duvall, Tom Kemp, Rick Avery and Kevin DeCoste all offer support. William Monahan (THE DEPARTED) and Andrew Bovell (BLESSED) wrote the script.

EDGE OF DARKNESS opens Jan. 29th!
