The other day I was picking up a copy of DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS and I saw a game pimped out on the front counter called DARKSIDERS. Now what the hell is DARKSIDERS? That’s the question I was asking myself as I flipped through the DARKSIDERS strategy guide.
The game comes from Vigil and centers on War, one of the four legendary Horsemen of the apocalypse; the apocalypse has just taken place prematurely, and the world destroyed, and War finds himself tasked to find out who was behind this; caught in a battle between angels and demons, he has lost much of his power, and must find out where the other horsemen are, and who misled them into starting the final battle. Intense. Any of you get the chance to try this one? Anything worth talking about? Well if DARKSIDERS is as badass as it sounds then I’ve got some great news… it may be heading to the big screen!
VG247 got the scoop from Vigil creative director and comic legend Joe Madureira: “We’ve gotten some interest from Hollywood, we’ve talked about doing a comic series.” Nice! Any sort of apocalypse on the big screen is usually entertaining. Unfortunately Madureira’s words don’t mean much until an official deal is in place. We’ll be keeping an eye out for that so be sure to check back here for updates!
