We’re not even in the new year, and we have some early details on an upcoming anthology of horror called SCREAM QUEEN CAMPFIRE, which is already set to premiere Halloween 2010!
The webseries, from writer / director Jonathan Moody, will feature 5 gorgeous Scream Queens telling 10 different horror related stories around a campfire. Each episode, debuting at midnight on Halloween 2010, will run about 10 minutes in length and will be compiled onto a single DVD release at some point in the future.
The premise sounds cool enough, as does the early artwork we see here, but who are the Scream Queens in question, and what are these stories of horror they’ll be presenting? Only 2 of the 5 Scream Queens have been cast so far, with 2 of the 10 stories already shot and in the bag.
The Scream Queens already on board so far are Jackey Hall, star of DORM OF THE DEAD and CHAINSAW CHEERLEADERS, and Angelina Leigh, star of the upcoming SLIME CITY MASSACRE. Not exactly heavy hitters on the scream queen front, but both are smokin’ hot, and both rock a pair of lungs that likely produce some epic screams.
The two completed webisodes include THE CLOSET, written by Jonathan Moody and Terry Jernigan, directed by Terry Jernigan, and starring Devanny Pinn, Jonathan Moody, Brittany Daniels, and the voice of Terry Jernigan, and SCREWDRIVER, written and directed by Jonathan Moody and starring Rachel Grubb, Matt Francis, and Terry Jernigan.
Not much is known about either flick, but we do have a few teaser posters for each, which you can spy below. One thing’s for sure, they know how to pick classic horror titles, as THE CLOSET, SCREWDRIVER, and even SCREAM QUEEN CAMPFIRE are all great titles. Whether the webseries will be worth your time is a different story…
