Let’s face it, not many losses in the horror/sci-fi realm this year were bigger than Dan O’Bannon. Here’s a man who crafted a bounty of some of our all time favorites, whether it be hashing out scripts for DARK STAR, ALIEN, TOTAL RECALL, LIFEFORCE, DEAD & BURIED – or directing, if not the best, certainly one of the most entertaining zombie send ups to ever come about in RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. The man was pretty untouchable!

So it comes with sheer pleasure to inform you of a recently launched website dedicated to the man, his work (past and future), and all us fans who wish to celebrate everything O’Bannon stood for (check that shite out HERE).

Inside, you’ll find everything from info about the latest script he was working on, as well as tidbits from a decade-in-the-works zombie flick he was looking to direct himself entitled DAN O’BANNON’S ZOMBIES: FRUIT OF THE TOMB. Pretty f*ckin’ neato!

So put down the nog and turkey, stop reading and spread a little holiday appreciation for Mr. O’Bannon HERE. And remember, if the site doesn’t work right away, keep plugging away at it as construction nears completion.

Until then, enjoy a sweet clip from the 1985 O’Bannon title RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. Happy Holidays y’all!
