The chance at mentioning Darren Aronofsky’s BLACK SWAN doesn’t come every day, but when it does we feel a degree of obligation to cover it… if for no other reason to show smokin’ hot pictures of stars Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman.
Kunis is out pimping the upcoming BOOK OF ELI (which looks pretty badass), but had some time to chat about BLACK SWAN with ComingSoon.net, and dished the dish about her character, Portman’s character, and how physically demanding it is playing a ballerina. Here’s just a taste of what she had to say about the project:
The talent that my character has at ballet comes naturally to her. She’s not as technically good as Natalie’s character, but she has more passion, naturally. That’s what Natalie’s character lacks. So it’s a battle and the ying and yang. Ultimately, it’s the story of Natalie’s character going through a downward spiral mentally through ‘Swan Lake’… Her character is in a world that is just falling apart all around her. Because everything is falling apart around her, crazy things start happening.
Basically, Portman goes ape-shit crazy and completely looses her mind, and all that craziness that starts happening is all in her head… or is it? Seeing as how this is coming from the brilliant mind of Aronofsky, I can only imagine what the end result is going to be like. If nothing else, it’s going to feature Kunis and Portman in tights for two hours… ain’t nothing wrong with that!
