If you’re an aspiring filmmaker in Europe and you’re needing a place to wrap up post production on your current film, then prepare to get excited! According to Film New Europe, the great David Lynch is opening a new “Sound Theater” in Łódź, which is sounding like the perfect place for sound mixing and final editing!

The new “Sound Theater” is a part of the EC1 project, a new arts / cultural establishment on the ground at an old abandoned factory. Lynch and his team are behind the five level building, which will be equipped with a mixing room, post-production rooms and live music recording studios capable of holding a full symphonic orchestra. Wow! Talk about first class all the way!

The final approval for the EC1 project is still being discussed and pondered by the Łódź city government, which is now taking a closer look at the project’s budget.

All that aside, it’s quite exciting to know that Lynch is behind a project like this, recognizing the need for smaller films that would really benefit from the five-star treatment. Great man! To check out the full scoop on Lynch’s “Sound Theater,” click HERE.
