Wake Wood details

Damn I love it when we stumble upon smaller, lesser known, potentially kickass horror flicks! Foreign ones even more so! Lemme ask this: does warped pagan rituals and spooky reincarnations tickle your fancy? Hope so, ‘cause that’s exactly what we have in David Keating’s Irish chiller WAKE WOOD!

Starring Timothy Spall, Aiden Gillen, Eva Birthistle, Ruth McCabe, Briain Gleeson, Amelia Crowley, Dan Gordon, and Ella Connolly – WAKE WOOD is put in motion when:

Still grieving the death of their only child Alice at the jaws of a crazed dog, vet Patrick and pharmacist Louise relocate to the remote town of Wake Wood where a local pagan ritual gives them three more precious days with her-but what will they do when it’s time for their new daughter to go back?

Damn, that’s some pretty haunting shite! Imagine losing a child, then being granted a 3-day spell to say goodbye. What the hell would you do? What could you do?

Keating co-writes with Brendan McCarthy (THE METAL MAN). No word yet when the flick will be made available to the public.

WAKE WOOD star Timothy Spall will be seen alongside Helena Bonham Carter in ALICE IN WONDERLAND!
