Yesterday, along with the rest of the internet, we pointed you towards the Facebook page of REC 3 (check out that shite HERE), which got Filmax (the company who owns the rights) thinking WTF?
So they contacted Aullidos and laid it all out on the table. They have never heard of REC 3, and therefore the website, the poster, and Facebook page are all fake! There are no plans for a REC 3 just yet, which would make sense considering REC 2 hasn’t hit or (if it has) it hasn’t made quite the splash I’m assuming they were hoping.
Ah, the internet. It’s our friend for mostly everything, but has a knack for stabbing us in the back when the information it provides proves false. Just some dude who thought it’d be funny, or who had high hopes that a third REC would be cool. And you know what? He fooled us all. So now who’s the a-hole? Oh yeah. This dude. For setting up all this fake crap and falsely build up our hopes and dreams for REC 3.
You bastard.
Check out the full scoop in Spanish HERE, and stick around for that slim possibility that a REC 3 will actually happen one day.
