A few weeks back we caught a little poster at the American Film Market for THE HOWLING: REBORN (check it right HERE), a movie we didn’t even know existed at the time, and lookee here… it looks like the film is now officially official.

According to Variety, Joe Nimziki (former studio head) will be making his directorial debut from his own script with REBORN with a release date just in time for Halloween 2010! That’s right folks, it appears as though there’s a studio out there with balls enough to release a horror movie around Halloween! Look like someone finally took the time to listen to what we’ve been saying for years!

No specifics have been released just yet (though we brought you some inside story information HERE a few weeks back), other than the film is supposed to reboot the franchise. One nice thing out of this is that it doesn’t look like it’s a remake at all, but rather an updated sequel. About time the idea for a remake was dropped for one of a sequel!

Filming is set to begin in February, so keep it right here for casting announcements for THE HOWLING: REBORN as they come our way!
