Horror and war seems to be a good fit, and lately paring the two has become more and more popular. I’m speaking, of course, of the recent STD flick RED SANDS starring Shane West. At the American Film Market a few weeks back, a little French flick originally titled DJINNS, now titled THE STRANDED, was pimping itself as the film’s currently in post-production.
Lucky for us, the boys at Bloody-D scored some new poster art for the flick, and so far, it appears to show some promise. Directed by Sandra and Hugues Martin, STRANDED goes a little something like this: A platoon of French soldiers on a rescue mission in North Africa confront invisible evil creatures.
Those invisible creatures are, of course, the ‘Djinns’ in question. I have to say, I liked the original title a whole lot better. STRANDED just seems so… generic. You could almost slap that title on just about any horror flick and it’d work.
