On Friday we told you about the new word on the street: a sequel to Paul W.S. Anderson’s DEATH RACE was a go. And today, the casting call-sheet is now available online, giving us more details about the project, including… the film’s full title!
According to SpoilerTV, the sequel will be called DEATH RACE: FRANKENSTEIN LIVES! F*ck yeah! I actually dig the hell out of that title, if only because it’s ridiculous and cheesy. If that’s where they’re headed with the sequel, then so be it! Written by Tony Giglio, FRANKENSTEIN LIVES goes a little something like this: Newly arrived at Terminal Island, a prison for the most nonredeemable of convicts, CARL “LUKE” LUCAS must prove his mettle in a race to the death…
So basically it’s gonna follow the “same” storyline as the first one, with hopes of learning more of the bac story to Frankenstein, and most importantly, more racing, cars exploding, and people getting killed in awesome ways. I say bring it!

I’m oddly excited for this likely STD sequel and I don’t know why. Production is set to begin February 22, 2010!
