Looks as though the super-secret M. Night Shyamalan-produced, John Erick Dowdle-directed DEVIL is going to have some heavy-duty effects work in it. Dread Central is reporting that the production has just hired Rob Hall to create the special make-up effects for the horror film.
Hall has been plying his trade for quite a while, most recently providing work for QUARANTINE, “The Sarah Conner Chronicles”, and THE CRAZIES (I saw his creations first-hand and they were very creepy indeed). Hall has also sat in the director’s chair a number of times, most notably last year’s slasher LAID TO REST and the upcoming web series “Fear Clinic” (starring Danielle Harris, pictured with Hall).
DEVIL stars Chris Messina, Logan Marshall-Green, Jenny O’Hara, Jacob Vargas, Matt Craven, Bojana Novakovic, Bokeem Woodbine, Geoffrey Arend and Caroline Dhavernas (pictured below). Production begins in Toronto at the end of the month.
