The remake of PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE is almost here, and director John Johnson has completed the film’s first official teaser trailer, which you can see below.

Not that Ed Wood’s so-awful-it’s-good movie needed a redoing, but the remake… well, I guess I could say it looks better than the original. Not that that’s a stretch by any means, but yeah… better than expected. Necessary? No. But I can see why the guy wanted to pay homage to the original film. That said, this looks more like a zombie movie than an alien invasion movie… we shall see…

You can head on over to the film’s OFFICIAL SITE to check out all the gory details, but it basically stars Johnson, John R. Price II, and Monique Dupree, and is based on the 1959 film that went a little like this: Aliens resurrect dead humans as zombies and vampires to stop human kind from creating the Solaranite (a sort of sun-driven bomb).

If you want to know more about this film, Johnson is going to have a live chat feed at 8pm on Sunday, September 13, 2009 EST to answer questions and discuss the film, which you’ll be able to check out OVER HERE when the time comes.

Have fun with the trailer, and get ready for PLAN 9 sometime soon…
