Teen Wolf a go!

Back in June we heard rumblings of a possible TEEN WOLF remake, but at the time they were simply rumors and nothing official had come down the block (check out that scoop HERE). Until today.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, MTV is officially moving forward with the TEEN WOLF remake–but in TV series form–and their description of what’s to come may just have you scratching your head as to why. Check it: It has a fresh take and is very different from the original. It has more of an ‘American Werewolf in Paris’ feel to it. It’s a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the center who provide a great comedy element: They are two very relatable characters on the outer circles of popular cliques.

Any project that self-proclaims to be like AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN PARIS has me worried. That was the TV series as described by MTV’s senior VP of series development. Yeesh. This just keeps getting better and better by the minute.

So the new trend is not only to remake classics from the 80s, but to remake them into TV series (like the recent announcement of the new HEATHERS TV show), which seems… well, stupid.

The new TEEN WOLF TV pilot was scripted by the same dude who created CRIMINAL MINDS (the CBS show), and gives us another reason to be scared. Stick around for when we should be looking for the new TEEN WOLF series on MTV as we hear it!
