We landed some interested casting news regarding the upcoming horror-themed Robin Hood movie SHERWOOD HORROR from writer/director John Regan. That’s right, it’s Robin Hood with a horror twist!
Apparently DJ Perry, star of such low-budget horror flicks like THE 8TH PLAGUE, GHOST TOWN: THE MOVIE, and AN ORDINARY KILLER, is in talks to star in the lead role of SHERWOOD HORROR, in which he would play the Robin Hood character of sorts… but not exactly. Check it out:
An ex-con (Perry) returns home after a six-year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil Sheriff and his horde of blood-sucking minions.
So the Sheriff hires a horde of vampires to rule his kingdom and f*ck shite up? I somehow always knew it would end up like this. It’s a cool new twist on the same old thing, which somehow makes it better than if it were just another remake of the same old Robin Hood tale. Throw in some vampires into the mix, and you have youselves an entertaining ride!
Perry is understandably stoked to be in the flick, as he exclaimed John Regan has crafted a real page-turner of a script and has the creative vision to make Sherwood Horror a unique and exciting film.
