The boys over at STYD scored a brand new clip from the upcoming BOOK OF BLOOD, based on the short story by Clive Barker, hitting DVD later this year.
The clip features some crazy Sam Raimi inspired camera work, and even a scene that reminds me of Tina’s scene from A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. Not that this film isn’t original, I’m just saying… it smells of other horror flicks we’ve seen before. Not that that’s a bad thing…
As a quick recap, BOOK OF BLOOD is about paranormal researcher Mary Florescu’s investigations that lead her to Simon McNeal, a college student who appears to be channeling messages from the dead. As their erotic relationship develops the line between the worlds of the living and the dead become blurred and finally collapse in a stunning and astonishing climax.
