Happy B-day 2 Me DVD

Last month, I told you guys that the supposed 3D remake of HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME was currently in limbo. Within that article, I marveled at the fact that I’ve still never seen the original 1981 version. When I went to add it to my Netflix, I noticed that a DVD version was no longer available. Luckily, before I started impaling people with a shish-kabob, word came out that a new version of the flick would be hitting DVD shelves this October 13th from Anchor Bay. Score!

And check out the DVD box art for BIRTHDAY up top! How killer is that?! I can’t believe we’re actually getting a DVD re-issue of an old horror flick without some lame, modernized cover art! That classic image above from the original poster remains perfectly in tact and even has a tinge of grindhouse feel. I love it! To pre-order yourself a copy, simply click right HERE.

And in case you don’t remember, here is how B-DAY’s plot went: Virginia is proud that she belongs to a clique. The best students at a private school. But before her 18th birthday, a grueling set of murders take place and her friends are the ones who are falling prey. Could it be her? She suffers from blackouts due to a freak accident one year earlier. We soon learn the truth behind her accident and what is going on…
