Dead of Night poster!

Well, the crazy Comic Con commercialized exclusives keep on coming in! The latest spectacle to be unveiled? It’s the brand new poster for the long-gestating horror/comedy DEAD OF NIGHT. I believe that’s star, Brandon Routh standing with his back to us and clutching a gun up top. It’s not a very revealing one-sheet, but there is a certain “simple cool” about it. Plus, if you look very closely at the top, it appears that DYLAN DOG (the flick’s original title) is faintly shown. I’m not sure why, but I also dig the font that DEAD OF NIGHT is written in.

I’m not familiar with the comic series on which this flick is based, but I still am very stoked to catch it. How can any genre geek resist a plot like this: The adventures of supernatural private eye, Dylan Dog, who seeks out the monsters of the Louisiana bayou in his signature red shirt, black jacket, and blue jeans.

Kevin Munroe directed DEAD and in addition to Routh, has put together a top-notch cast: Peter Stormare, Sam Huntington, Anita Briem (below), Kurt Angle, and Taye Diggs. Dylan Dog will be barking our way some time in 2010.
