New Twilight Zone movie!

If John Landis’ TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE wasn’t enough for you, then relax… because it looks like another TWILIGHT ZONE movie is in the works, according to Variety.

That’s right folks, Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way production company have hired Rand Ravich to write the script based on the classic TV show. If you were wondering whether this will be based on the new TWILIGHT ZONE series… well, it’s not. Based on the original series, though I don’t think that little detail matters all that much.

Who’s Ravich? He wrote and directed the ROSEMARY’S BABY-like flick THE ASTRONAUT’S WIFE, and he wrote CANDYMAN: FAREWELL TO THE FLESH. While WIFE was generic, it was still an effective movie, and I’ve always been a fan of FAREWELL TO THE FLESH… so a TWILIGHT ZONE flick from this guy could prove to be fairly awesome.
