Scream 4 is really on!

One year ago today it was reported that SCREAM 4 was a go (check that shit out HERE), and yet nothing has happened between now and then. Over the last year, the flick has been on-again off-again, with Kevin Williamson being on board, but Neve Campbell wanting nothing to do with it, and Wes Craven still a big question mark.

Today, according to E! Online, the ‘official’ word from David Arquette and Courtney Cox is this: We are going to be doing Scream 4. Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct.

This is what Arquette told E! and why would he lie? Furthermore, why wouldn’t both he and Cox star in the fourth SCREAM film? It’s not like they got anything better to do, plus, as Arquette puts it, I fell in love with my wife on Scream, so the opportunity to bring [Dewey] back to life and for my wife to play that really bitchy character again, it’s just going to be really fun. It’s just great.

And there you have it. Arquette is stoked to be back, wishes Campbell will change her decision and return for a fourth go-round, and can’t wait to bring the goofball deputy back to the big screen.

To catch up on the full scoop, click HERE, and stick around as we await whether or not Craven will be back for a part 4.
