J. Brooks guys’ Shrine
A very long time ago, I let you guys know that Jon Knautz, the director of the so freakin’ fun, JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER, was just starting out with his next project entitled THE CULT. Now, today, we finally have an update with some good news that the flick is indeed moving forward.
First off, there is a title change. From hence forth, we will now be reporting on Mr. Knautz’s THE SHRINE, so forget about all that CULT talk. Also, shooting is currently set to begin this coming August with Trevor Matthews, who absolutely rocked as bad-ass JACK BROOKS, set to star. An announcement of the rest of the cast should be coming very soon. Here is how the plot of SHRINE shines:
The story finds group of young journalists who are investigating a cult known to practice human sacrifice. Their ambitious ways might make them victims to their study.
This could be pretty damn interesting. Knautz and Matthews (both up top with Freddy) make a dynamite team and I’d totally be hip to checking out what they’d be able to produce beyond BROOKS. Let’s see what else this SHRINE will produce in the future.
