Well, holy shit, my friends! I’ve just come across a freakin’ Japanese horror flick that was just too insane to pass up. Wait’ll you get a load of its title: VAMPIRE GIRL VS. FRANKENSTEIN GIRL. Yeah, I’m not kidding, that is the title! And that is also the new poster for the flick up top. Hmm, would that be a sexy Asian schoolgirl with a sharp, strange weapon? Hell yes! You have to check out the plot of this one. It’s a scream:
A teenaged vampire girl named Monami tries to win over her high school crush by converting him into a vampire via tainted Valentine’s Day chocolate. When his current girlfriend, Keiko, tries to get revenge, she’s quickly dispatched by the powerful Monami. Keiko’s mad scientist father decides to piece her back together, complete with various “improvements” to help assist her in a rematch against the boyfriend-stealing vampire.
How does that shit grab ya?! What a fun freakin’ idea! It sounds like it could be a female version of FREDDY VS JASON. I’m on board! The cool news is, I can actually try and catch this flick on Friday, June 26th at the New York Asian Film Festival. V GIRL VS. F GIRL was directed by Yoshihiro Nishimura and Naoyuki Tomomatsu (who also wrote the script). It stars Eihi Shiina, Eri Otoguro, Yukie Kawamura, and Takumi Saito.
