Look out, my friends! Because Guttenberg is gonna get ya! Yeah, I’m talking about good ol’ Steve Guttenberg, the once lovable Officer Mahony from all those POLICE ACADEMY movies. I last wrote about his upcoming horror CORNERED more than half a year ago. Thankfully, the flick finally popped back up on my radar with a brand new freakin’ trailer! I’ve posted the highly watchable preview below. I’d definitely suggest you give it a click. First, get reacquainted with the plot:
A bunch of liquor store employees and their friends gather for a regular poker game, while a murderer who tortures his victims and steals surveillance-camera tapes of his exploits is on the loose. The group fantasize out loud about apprehending the villain and collecting a $500,000 reward—but then the madman invades the store, traps them inside and goes after them with assorted butcher’s tools purloined from the basement.
Guttenberg is the madman, which should justify why I’m so jazzed about CORNERED. Sure having the gorgeous Elizabeth Nicole (below) as one of the stars helps too. Director, Steve Maze, seems to have put together one tight little trip to the liquor store. The rest of his cast includes Peter Story, Eduardo Antonio Garcia, and James Duval. The film should be releasing on DVD some time this year.
