Dark House a-comin’!

Holy shit, friends! I’ve stumbled onto some cool fun! A long time ago, I had done some write-ups on a forthcoming horror indie simply titled DARK HOUSE. Then I totally forgot about the flick. Today, my memory was delivered an extra harsh (and awesome) reminder in the form of the flick’s brand new website. The best part about it? That would have to be the trailer that pops up as soon as you enter the homepage. I’m tellin’ ya, this looks like a studio horror flick! Creepy monsters and freaks, cool effects, and genre legend Jeffrey Combs masterfully hamming it up! I highly suggest you click right here and enter this HOUSE!

Now, please allow me to jog your memory with the flick’s plot: Traumatized by a terrifying event in her youth, Claire Thompson tries to exorcise her demons by revisiting the old house where a terrible children’s massacre took place. Now a haunted house attraction set up by impresario WALSTON REY, the former foster home run by the evil MISS DARRODE is set to open for the press and Walston recruits Claire and several of her fellow acting class students to perform as part of the show. Unfortunately, a series of horrible murders happen at the haunted house, generating from either the malevolent spirit of the departed Miss Darrode, or by Claire herself…

DARK HOUSE is coming our way courtesy of writer/director Darin Scott. In addition to Combs, it stars Meghan Ory, Danso Gordon, Bevin Prince (TWISTED, below), Shelly Cole, Matt Cohen (BOOGEYMAN 2), Scott Whyte (REEKER), Ryan Melander, and Meghan Maureen McDonough. The world premier for DARK HOUSE is today, May 18th, at Cannes. Hopefully after that, we’ll start hearing about a wider release.
