Have you guys ever seen one of those “Flip This House” types of shows that are now all over television? You know, the ones where people will buy a shitty house real cheap, then redo it and sell it for a profit? Well, don’t you think a concept like that would make for a great horror flick? No? Well, how about if you get bad-ass Michael Madsen as your killer?! That ain’t too shabby in my bloody book.
The new film I’m speaking of is called NICTOPHOBIA (huh?) and here is a nice layout of its synopsis: Lauren ‘flips buildings’ with her boyfriend, Tyler. Along with Lauren’s friend, Ashley, the couple heads out to scout a new building. What should be an easy day becomes a nightmare, as they must find their way through a dark warehouse in order to escape a murderer.
This actually sounds kind of interesting (at least the set-up does). Hopefully, Madsen will be calling on his sadistic “Mr. Blonde” side in order to bring us something special in the villain department. NICTO is being directed by Douglas Elford-Argent who co-write the script with Thomas Bilyeu. In addition to Madsen, the cast includes Jennifer Tisdale (below), Rachel Hunter, Gwendolyn Garver, and David Frank Fletcher Jr. The flick is looking to release some time this year.
