Chloe poster

Speaking of bland, unremarkable posters, here’s the promo one-sheet for CHLOE, which is currently at the Cannes Film Festival. Like HALLOWEEN 2, this will most likely not end up being final, which is good, because this is the stuff of the straight-to-video section. (Yes, video.) Plus that tagline. My goodness…

But CHLOE sounds intriguing all the same. It might just belong in that “crazy chick” genre, which OBSESSED recently joined. Guilty pleasure of mine, that kind of flick. THE TEMP. THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE. POISON IVY. I’ll take ’em all…

CHLOE is about a doctor (Julianne Moore) who hires an escort (Amanda Seyfried) to seduce her husband (Liam Neeson), whom she thinks is cheating on her. While usually hiring an escort to seduce your husband is a great idea, in this case not so much, when the escort puts the entire family in danger. Hopefully, a chick fight ensues.

CHLOE was directed by Atom Egoyan, who has made some really smart films, including EXOTICA and THE SWEET HEREAFTER. Okay, maybe not exactly the guy you’d expect to direct a chick fight, but who knows? Maybe he’s got a B-movie schlockmaster in him just waiting to burst out?
