With the “Countdown to H2” Clock dwindling down to just 114 days, the Weinsteins have deemed it time to release the flick’s official plot synopsis. And you know those cheeky monkeys wouldn’t be making such a big deal about this announcement unless it contained something thought provoking. First read the synopsis, and then we’ll discuss:

“It’s that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable.”

That’s right, friends, we’re getting some kind of new hero (and “unlikely” one, at that). So who do you think it is? Could Laurie’s character be considered “new” because she changed so much after the last film? Or does that crazed creature Uncle Seymour Coffins have an ass-kicking side? And why does the synopsis refer to the hero as “they” right afterwards? Is it poor grammar or a clue? Whoever it is, they better not be spouting a line like “Trick-or-treat… mutha-f*cka!” However, since Mr. Zombie is once again tackling the subjet matter, I’m not worried.
