Do your craniums recall a little ways back where I made mention of an upcoming Grindhouse-style indie entitled MACABRE MEDICINE? If not, then I think it’s about time we have a follow-up appointment. Because the doctor is in today at AITH! If you’ll cast your peepers southward, you’ll find a brand new “promotional” video from the flick’s malicious MD, Heywood West.

I actually got quite a kick out of watching the not-so-good doctor at work. There’s some nice doses of humor to go along with the great gore. I’m definitely very interested in checking out exactly how MACABRE this MEDICINE is. Have a look at the plot:

When wanna be doctor Heywood West becomes the new kid in town, people start to get suspicious by his odd behavior; disgusting stenches coming from his house, people turning up missing, and red stains on his lab coat… you could see why.

Heywood befriends a fellow anatomy student Jeff Sarris and at the same time turns Jeff’s life upside down. After witnessing Heywood commit a murder, it’s up to Jeff to either turn in his new best friend or drown himself in Denial, while in the mean time Heywood continues writing prescriptions… FOR PAIN!

Sounds like some sick fun! Director, Will Hartman, tells us that MEDICINE is in its final days of shooting and that the gore load is extra heavy! It stars Ben Bostaph as the good doc and Hartman himself as friend Jeff. The rest of the cast includes Josh Lynch, Adam Clifton, Carrie Mullen, Shawn Phillips, MJ Kelley, Rich Airey, and Todd Michael Smith. For more info, you can check out the official MySpace page here.
