Tse tackling Battling

Any way you want to slice WATCHMEN, it was a pretty damn fine adaptation, especially considering that it was a book most deemed un-adaptable. (Of course, many still do deem it that way.) One of the screenwriters, Alex Tse, is ready to tackle his next graphic novel, entitled BATTLING BOY.

The story line follows the son of a god who comes down from the top of a mountain at his father’s urging to rid the giant, continent-sized city of Monstropolis of a plague of beasts.

The film will be produced by Brad Pitt’s company, Plan B (also in the process of making WORLD WAR Z), but obviously no director is attached yet. Tse is also currently working on THE ILLUSTRATED MAN for his WATCHMEN director Zack Snyder.

So yet another graphic novel I’ve never heard of is getting ready to come to the big screen… Man, I need to become a comic geek again…

Maybe Pitt can find a role for his lady…
