Here’s an early teaser for Twisted Pictures’ newest effort (without the word SAW in the title), THE TORTURED, starring Jesse Metcalfe, Erika Christensen, and Bill Moseley. Hate to say it, but it looks like a lot of “torture porn” to me, but maybe they just decided to highlight the gooey parts in the trailer. Looks pretty grisly.
THE TORTURED is told in non-linear fashion as it recounts how a couple (Christensen and Metcalfe) track down Kozlowski (Moseley), the man who brutalized and murdered their son and force him to experience torture himself. The story of how they got to this point is told through flashbacks: the kidnapping of their child; the discovery of the body; the breakdown of the relationship; the trial and its devastating aftermath as Kozlowski is set free on a technicality.
Robert Lieberman (FIRE IN THE SKY) directed; the screenplay was written by Marek Posival. There is no release date set as of yet.
