Sucker Punch Browning

You guys heard of Zack Snyder’s next project called SUCKER PUNCH yet? It sure seems like one bad-ass mind-f*ck of a fairy tale. Before I even get into the current news about it, I think you should first take in the plot:

Set in the 1950’s, a young girl is confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she starts to imagine an alternative reality to hide from her pain. She plans to escape from this imaginary world, but to do that she needs to steal five objects before she is caught by a vile man.

Pretty f*cking weird, right? I’ve heard that the young girl, called “Baby Doll”, imagines that her fellow female inmates help her out with the escape. It’s basically a psychotic female “balls”-to-the-wall actioner. There’s supposed to be some pretty insane carnage and that’s just heavy metal music to my ears.

Hottie Amanda Seyfried was originally going to play Baby Doll, however it seems that she has now been replaced by Emily Browning (THE UNINVITED, up top). I’ve only seen Ms. Browning in a couple of flicks, but I do think she’s an interesting choice for this particular lead. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how it pans out. Plus, the actresses rumored to be in her “inmate army” are pretty damn sweet: Evan Rachel Wood, Vanessa Hudgens (below), Abbie Cornish, and Emma Stone. SUCKER PUNCH is looking to hit up 2010.
