Hayter forms Dark Hero

WATCHMEN and X-MEN screenwriter David Hayter is preparing to step behind the camera for the werewolf thriller SLAUGHTER’S ROAD. In addition, he’s set up to direct DEMONOLOGY for the newly formed Dark Hero Studios, which he helped create. Hayter wrote both scripts.

SLAUGHTER’S ROAD begins shooting this summer, with Thomas Dekker (John Connor in “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) and Ray Stevenson (PUNISHER: WAR ZONE) in talks to star. Hayter apparently got the idea (the specifics of which are under wraps) after he was offered a slew of werewolf movies and found enough flaws in each to never want to make such a pic.

DEMONOLOGY is based on his experience attending a school in Japan. The horror element of the tale, however, is also a secret for now.
