True Blood casts Cruz

I’ve never seen the show TRUE BLOOD (I don’t have HBO and I haven’t gotten a chance to rent the first season), but I really want to. Mostly because I hear that it is ultra gory and cool… and also because the show has a penchant for getting hot, well-known actresses naked. Stars, Anna Paquin and Lizzy Caplan (CLOVERFIELD, below) have both dropped trou for the first time and the world has been a better place ever since.

Today, we have yet another hottie who was added to TRUE BLOOD’s cast and hopefully she too will have to go through the same form of “naked initiation”. Said hottie is Valerie Cruz (DEXTER, right) who will play Isabel, an elegant Hispanic vampire. Hmm, sounds like a role with some flavor. No further details were given and since I’ve yet to catch the show, I can only imagine how she’ll factor into its mythology. But I’m assuming she’ll be getting her suck on… maybe even in more ways than one?

TRUE BLOOD will begin its second 12-episode season, along with Ms. Cruz, this June. For those who aren’t aware of the show’s plotline, here’s the summation: TRUE BLOOD details the co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps, a fictional small Louisiana town. The series centers on Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). So, it’s kind of light stupid TWILIGHT only with gore and boobs.
