Evilution trailer!

At the end of last month, I gave you guys a glance at the new poster for the wild zombies-and-building-tenants horror/sci-fi romp EVILUTION. The one-sheet as well as the actual flick itself looked extremely cool. If only we were able to get a look at the actual film, you know, like some sort of preview of scenes that would show some action going on… hold on a sec! We do have that right now! I believe it’s called a teaser trailer, right?

After taking in the trailer for myself, I can safely say that I’m definitely looking forward to checking EVILUTION out. We’re getting a shitload of gory zombie attacks and hordes of angry army guys. I recommend you click on over here and watch all the chaos for yourself.

As always, I’ll give you a reminder of the plot: A microscopic alien life form has been discovered with the ability to possess the living and resurrect the dead. The United States Army has tried to communicate with it but failed. Instead, the military has tried to create a genetically altered version of the alien in order to resurrect dead soldiers on the battlefield. However, the alien fights back, turning soldier against soldier.

Young scientist Darren Hall kidnaps the last pure specimen of the alien, determined to reverse the damage inflicted and learn the secrets of life. Hiding in a mysterious building named The Necropolitan, he continues his experiments. On one fateful night, the alien is set loose on the unsuspecting tenants resulting in a new evolution of apocalyptic horror as infected tenants attack the unsuspecting, turning them into a cannibal horde. Darren and a small group of survivors must now find a way to destroy the alien-possessed before they can escape into the city and bring forth the end of the human race.

Although the trailer, plot, and poster rock, I’ve still got zilch in terms of an EVILUTION release date. I do hope that changes soon. The flick was directed by Chris Conlee from a script by Brian Patrick O’Toole. It stars Marie Antoinette, Nathan Bexton, Jonathan Breck (yes, The CREEPER!), Guillermo Díaz, Katie Cazorla (below), and Tim Colceri. You can check out the official site right here.
