Just yesterday, Mr. Ammon gave us all a look at the wild new trailer for the sci-fi/horror outing PANDORUM. Today, to accompany the trailer, we’ve got a brand new (and sick) one-sheet! See that image up top?! Damn, that looks uncomfortable! I’m not sure why this dude’s got weird tubes and wires going in and out his mouth and eyes, but I sure feel bad for him. Plus, I’m definitely interested in finding out the reason. Kudos to whoever popped out this poster for effectively invoking the chills without a single drop of blood.
Here’s the flick’s lengthy, cosmically crazy plot synopsis: Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the spacecraft. They can’t remember anything – who are they, what is their mission? The only way out of the chamber is a dark and narrow airshaft. As one ventures deeper and deeper into the ship, he begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft’s shocking and deadly secrets come unraveled, and the astronauts realize that the survival of mankind hinges on their actions.
Now that’s some far out shit! This space trek is coming from the creative mind of director Christian Alvart (ANTIBODIES). It stars big, bad Dennis Quaid, gangly character-actor Ben Foster, and the beautiful Antje Traue (below). PANDORUM is set to hit theaters September 4, 2009.
