You know, I’ve gotta say that even though next March’s HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT is brandishing the dreaded PG-13 rating, it still keeps looking cooler and cooler to me. Take, currently for instance, the brand new batch of stills that Lionsgate just released for the flick. There’s some cool, f*cked-up shit to behold! I mean, just check out the one up top. What’s up with that kid?! He friggin’ scratched up that door till his damn fingertips turned bloody! If that ain’t enough, then just cast your eyes below at the insane “body art” that the same kid is now brandishing. Holy crap! And I thought tatoos were supposed to hurt!

This just goes to show, at least for me, that L-gate either has some confidence in their latest horror show or they just want to milk as much money as possible in the first weekend of release. I’m willing to lean more towards the former because CONNECTICUT’s release date was even bumped up which is usually a good sign. Of course we’ll all know for sure when it begins haunting theaters on March 27th. Again, I’ll give you the plot (which really IS based wholly on a true story):

When Sara and Peter Campbell’s son Matt is diagnosed with cancer, they uproot their family to Connecticut for his treatment. As the family settles into their new home, Matt grows increasingly disturbed by paranormal activity that seems to inhabit and possess the house. At a loss to help her frightened family, his mother turns to an enigmatic priest who appears to rid the house of its ghosts– until the boy’s condition takes a sudden and unexplained turn for the worse and their lives are put in grave danger.

The film was directed by Peter Cornwell and stars Virginia Madsen, Martin Donovan, Kyle Gallner, Amanda Crew, and Elias Koteas.
