Oh, this is one flick that certainly seems to be right up my alley. Or I should say seems to drive right down my lane. Please excuse the extra description. I’m just trying to start out with some basketball-related terms. Why? Well, let me explain…

I just got word of a new genre offering coming straight to DVD that combines three of my favorite things: horror movies, basketball, and whacked-out shit! It’s called NIGHT OF THE DRIBBLER (see where I’m going?) and it was actually shot way back in 1995, but was never released! Now, Code Red DVD is looking to change that grave error. That’s right! After years of riding the bench, DRIBBLER has finally scored itself a release! Now, take a look at its stats:

Some psycho wearing a basketball mask is killing off the High School basketball team and it’s up to the famous TV Funnyman Fred Travelena to find the killer! In the vein of Peter Sellers films, Fred plays 3 roles in the movie! Canadian TV’s Cold Squad Gregory Calpakis also stars in this demented comedy horror film that has been lost for many years! Directed and produced by the fine folks who brought you Snuff, The Carpenter, and the cult classic Zombie Nightmare!

Wow! The folks from SNUFF and THE CARPENTER?! Actually, I’ve yet to hear of either. Yes, I know that DRIBBLER is running a play for the ridiculous. I mean, did you see that shot of the killer up top? It’s hilarious and thus, for this type of movie, a slam dunk! The DVD will be released later on this summer.
