Danielle Harris is a busy girl lately. We know that she’s going to be in Rob Zombie’s H2, but she’s also got a flick called HORROR 88 on the horizon, THE BALCK WATERS OF ECHO POND waiting to be released, and now this – CYRUS, which sounds like a grisly morsel indeed. We snatched up the poster and the synopsis was dropped in our laps. Read on!

Inspired by a true story, a small independent news crew, made up of reporter Maria Consolo and her camera man Tom, investigates a series of unexplained disappearances in a small Midwestern county. The story leads them to the isolated town of Arkham Heights, where they find themselves interviewing Emmett who possesses an all too intimate knowledge of the details of “The County Line Cannibal” – Cyrus. As Emmett inter-weaves the macabre life tale of the most prolific serial killer in the history of the United States with the story of Cyrus’ last three victims, Maria comes closer and closer to the greatest story of her life – or what’s left of it.

CYRUS has a very cool cast made up of horror vets, including Brian Krause (SLEEPWALKERS), Doug Jones (HELLBOY 1+2), Rae Dawn Chong (TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE: THE MOVIE) and Lance Henrikson, whom everyone should know. It comes from director Mark Vadik. Hopefully, a release date will be revealed soon.
