Remember that friggin’ awesome project called BORN – about killer claymation figurines – which had the superteam of Clive Barker, Guillermo del Toro and The Chiodo Brothers behind it? (If not, refresh your memory HERE.) It unfortunately fell apart, but Daniel Simpson – who was to direct it, with del Toro and Barker producing – has got another flick lined up. In fact, it’s already in the can…
It’s called SPIDERHOLE, and Fangoria got the inside scoop on the horror, which doesn’t necessarily sound as ambitious as BORN, but could indeed be a fun ride.
Here’s how Simpson describes it: “SPIDERHOLE is about four young art-school students who decide to squat at a large, boarded-up empty London house. They break in at night and change the locks before drinking, having sex, etc. In the morning, feeling sick—but more than just hung over—they go to leave, only to find that the doors and windows have been sealed with metal and that there is no escape. They realize that they’ve been drugged, and that whoever did it must be with them inside the vast, derelict and pitch-black building.”
