After Dark Horrorfest returns with 8 Films To Die For this coming January 9th through the 15th. This years lineup includes the films THE BROKEN, SLAUGHTER, PERKINS 14, THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT 2: REVELATION, FROM WITHIN, DYING BREED, AUTOPSY and VOICES. This is the third year that After Dark plans to scare you to death, and here is to hoping they will do exactly that.

MISTRESS MALICE (MISS HORROR FEST)
When I showed up at the party to announce Miss Horrorfest for 2009, there was quite a few reminders as to the little perks of my job. First and foremost, all of the girls in the running were horrorlicious and ready to draw a little blood as only Miss Horrorfest could’ve done. But just in case the party didn’t feel atmospheric enough, the promise of free Absinthe certainly felt like a deal breaker for me. With live music and a ton of genre loving peeps all in attendance, it was a perfect place to crown a new scream queen and catch a glimpse of what kind of living dead girl will be rising from the ashes this time around.
Not only did we have a chance to talk to all the finalists clawing their way at the coveted crown… well, maybe not that coveted. But we also had the opportunity to talk to a few of the people involved in the making of the films. We spoke to actor Vance Daniels, who looks to be pretty kick ass in the feature SLAUGHTER. We also talked to Adam Gierasch, who not only brings us AUTOPSY, but has the remake of NIGHT OF THE DEMONS possessing us soon.
