Back at the beginning of this month, Mr. Ammon kindly gave us all a look at the three front covers for the upcoming DVD Deluxe Editions of FRIDAY THE 13TH PARTS 1 to 3. And now, today, we’ve got ourselves a look at what exactly is happening on the back of all three of the DVD boxes.
You may be thinking to yourself that this isn’t anything too special. You may be thinking that these back covers are really no different from the usual back covers you’d find on any other regular DVD—just pictures from the flicks and plot descriptions. And you may be partially right, however you’ve got to admit that the Kill… Kill… Kill… on the back of part 1’s box is pretty sweet.
But by far the coolest, most interesting thing about these back covers is on Part 3 (below)! If you take a good, close look, you’ll find the 3D glasses that are included with the DVD for watching the flick in its original “eye-popping” format! The neatest part about the glasses? They’re designed to look like the area of Jason’s hockey mask around the eyes! That’s just so f*cking awesome and very significant because Part 3 is where Mr. Voorhees first dons his iconic mask (he takes it from the pudgy prankster, Shelly, for all you trivia buffs).
These Special Edition DVDs will be hitting stores on February 3rd 2009.
