More H2: casting?

Oh, Christmas has truly come a little early for me! Clearly the biggest story of the day, as Mr. Ammon kindly reported earlier and my man Eric added here, we have official confirmation that the sequel to ROB ZOMBIE’S HALLOWEEN is indeed going into production for this year with a release date set for this coming October! Plus, Mr. Zombie has apparently cured his “no sequel-itis” and is indeed returning to write and direct H2 (as it is currently being labeled). Hell, I really enjoyed the first one, so I’m definitely pleased that he’s back to further his vision.

I was so jealous that Ammon and Eric got to write on a subject so near and dear to my black heart. Then a small Christmas miracle occurred when I came across a brand new list of likely actors who will be returning for Zombie’s sequel. Of course Scout Taylor-Compton as Laurie Strode and Tyler Mane as Michael were the first ones mentioned (we pretty much already knew this). Next on the list was Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Sam Loomis, which was only a bit of a surprise, but very reassuring nonetheless. I knew he didn’t die at the end of the first one. Now to the more interesting casting news. It looks like Daeg Faerch as young Michael Myers and Sheri Moon Zombie as Deborah Meyers may also be appearing. You know what that means: more childhood flashbacks!

This is all fantastic news to me. I can’t believe we’ll be getting Mr. Myers back on the big screen this October! I thought the second half of Zombie’s HALLOWEEN ended too quickly, so it’ll be nice to see it continued. I can’t wait to hear what he’s got planned.
