My dad’s a vampire

My friends, it appears we have ourselves a current case of a film with a weird-looking name and poster, but a very cool-sounding plot! The flick is called MAIDENHEAD and you’ll find its brand new poster directly up top. It just screams “horror movie” doesn’t it? Not quite. But if I’m reporting on it, you know it must be bringing some bloody goodness. Take a stab at the plot description:

Being described as “PSYCHO in reverse,” about a reclusive guy taking care of his dad who just so happens to be a vampire.

That’s actually a pretty damn interesting premise. Plus, the flick has two talented leads in A.J. Bowen (THE SIGNAL) and Michael Parks (FROM DUSK TILL DAWN). Apparently, MAIDENHEAD has some fairly heavy influence from THE TWILIGHT ZONE, ERASERHEAD, and THE THIRD MAN.

The rest of the cast includes Lorri Hamm-Wilson, Brandon Smith, Zoe Simpson, and Chairman Barnes. The flick was written and directed by Jim Spanos. For more info and a trailer, you can check out the official site here.
