Remember FEAR ITSELF? NBC’s horror anthology from the creative team behind MASTERS OF HORROR ran for eight weeks during the summer, offering us entries from directors like Stuart Gordon, Brad Anderson, Darren Lynn Bousman and other names well-known to horror watchers. I think we all knew it was ultimately doomed to fail, but we held on to hope – as a genre fan often does – that it would survive its initial run and make improvements. Of course, it didn’t make it. Unfortunately, the main reason was the show never rose above average, and more often than not it was simply not very scary.
Even though I’m not making it sound too appealing, I believe a few of the episodes might be worth your time, one of which is Larry Fessenden’s SKIN AND BONES. That entry, along with Stuart Gordon’s EATER and Brad Anderson’s SPOOKED, are now available to watch in their entirety on FEARnet.com, with more to come.
As an added bonus, you can look below to see two behind-the-scenes videos from the set of EATER. One focuses on director Stuart Gordon, the other on the character of the Eater (the dude is pretty creepy even when he’s just chillin’). Hope you enjoy!
