Cult of Platinum Dunes

There’s a ton of Platinum Dunes news hitting the web nowadays, what with THE UNBORN and FRIDAY THE 13th on the horizon. We’ve already learned in one day that their remakes of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and NEAR DARK are “go” and “no go” respectively. But wait, they’re not all about remakes, you know – how dare you even accuse them of that! Seems as though they’re teaming up with Scorr Kosar, who wrote TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and THE AMITYVILLE HORROR for them, on an original – and satanic- project.

Brad Fuller gave Sci-Fi Wire the scoop: “It is a story about a college girl whose brother dies, and she goes to investigate his death and finds he was into some pretty freaky stuff. And wants to get to the bottom of it. And, doing so, has to see some things that maybe she didn’t want to see. That are unsettling.”
