Bloody V’s Gathegi

I can’t believe we’ve only got a month and a half before MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D drives a pick-axe into theaters! How the time flies! Well today, one of the flick’s co-stars, Ed Gathegi (right), who’s also currently in that girly tweener TWILIGHT, gave some info on the new VALENTINE as well as a tiny possible spoiler regarding the flick’s legendary killer, Harry Warden. Have a look:

“The only difference is if they want to do a convergence rate where the action comes off the screen toward the audience, it has to be deliberate. So, after you do the take you do the deliberate take where you really come forward.” And, regarding whether he got to tussel with crazy ol’ Mr. Warden, Gathegi hinted, “I can’t say because nobody really knows who the killer is.”

Oooo, a mystery! Very good. I’m serious, because I once stated a while back that some character names from the 1984 original had made it to the remake and one of those names happened to be the name of the guy who wound up being the original’s killer. Hopefully that will not be the same for this new version, which also stars Jensen Ackles (SUPERNATURAL), Jaime King (THE TRIPPER, below), Kevin Tighe, Marc Macaulay, Betsy Rue, William Kania, and the man, the genius, Tom Atkins (NIGHT OF THE CREEPS).
